Laura Montoro

Laura Montoro is a Spanish soprano born in Pamplona. She received her early musical training at the Joaquín Maya School of Music and the Pablo Sarasate Professional Conservatory, later refining her technique under the guidance of Daniel Guerra at London’s Royal College of Music (RCM). Her artistic development has been shaped through masterclasses and collaborations with luminaries such as Raina Kabaivanska, Maite Beaumont, Krum Galabov, Daniela Diakova, Nerea Berraondo, and her current vocal coach, Rene Yuliy.

Dedicated to her flourishing solo career, Laura has captivated audiences across Europe and beyond. Recent highlights include performances with the Sofia Sinfonietta in Bulgaria under conductors Alan Freiles and Svilen Simeonov. She appeared with great success in the role of La Contessa in "Le Nozze di Figaro" in Florence, Italy. Laura accepted to perform the main role in the world premiere of the opera "Amor Fatale" by the reknown Maltese composer Paolino Vassallo under the baton of maestro Tulio Gagliardo. She has collaborated with pianist Eduardo Frías, Durius Ensemble, Ensemble Miguel de Arrózpide, and renowned orchestras such as the Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra (OSN), Orquesta Sinfónica de La Rioja (OSR), Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao (OBS), Orquesta Filarmónica de España (OFE), Orquesta Sinfónica de Jaén (OSJ), Orquesta de Cámara Galega, and Ensemble de Chimera.

Her performances span prestigious Spanish auditoriums, cathedrals, and museums, as well as international stages in Germany, France, Italy, Bulgaria, and Israel. Laura has worked with distinguished conductors including Manuel Coves, Jordi Casals, José Mª Sánchez-Verdú, Javier Corcuera, and Paco Suárez, among others.

Committed to preserving cultural heritage, Laura has contributed to reviving Navarra’s historical works. She premiered as soprano soloist in Hilarión Eslava’s Mass of the Dead and Buenaventura Íñiguez’s Mass for Eight Voices and Great Orchestra with the Rioja Symphony Orchestra and the Choir of the FCNAE, conducted by Jesús Mª Echeverría at Pamplona’s Auditorio Baluarte and Francisco Jaso Auditorium.

For thirteen years, Laura served as a soloist of the Music Chapel of Pamplona Cathedral under the direction of Chapel Master Aurelio Sagaseta, further solidifying her deep connection to sacred and classical repertoire.

Currently, Laura is preparing for an important recital as part of the "Sofia Music Weeks" festival in Sofia, Bulgaria, as well as for the role of Mimi from "La Boheme" , Puccini in various theaters in Bulgaria in 2025.
